How everything works. Tap a heading to open it.
Heating
A Google Nest thermostat next to the TV controls the temperature. The heating is always on, so there's nothing to switch on or off — turn the outer ring clockwise for warmer, anticlockwise for cooler. The display shows the temperature you're setting, with the current room temperature underneath. Give it a little time to catch up.
Kitchen
Fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge and freezer. Dishes, cutlery and pans are in the drawers directly below the hob. There's tea, coffee and a few cooking basics in — please help yourself.
Shower
Turn the handle left or right to set the temperature, then pull it towards you to turn the water on. The lever just above the main control switches between the waterfall head and the handheld shower. It takes a moment to reach full pressure, so give it a few seconds before stepping in.
Television
The TV and the Amazon Fire TV Cube share one remote.
- Home brings up the Fire TV menu — Netflix, Prime Video and the rest.
- Press and hold the microphone button for Alexa.
- Volume and power control the TV directly, so there's no need to change inputs.
- If you land on a blank screen, press home to bring the Fire TV Cube back.
Bins and recycling
Recycling bins are on the driveway. Collection is Friday — please put everything out before 7am, or the night before.
- Orange — cardboard
- Blue — tins and plastics
- Brown — food recycling
Before you leave
Checkout is by 10am. We'd appreciate it if you could:
- Wash any dishes and put them away
- Take rubbish out to the bins
- Pop the key back in the lockbox and give the code a spin
No need to strip beds or do anything beyond that. Thank you for taking care of the place.
